Strategic "Zero Social Impact" Model
GBI adheres to the principle of selecting strategic areas on islands far from communities to serve as a natural buffer zone, sustainably reducing the impact of noise, pollution, and accident risks to residential areas.
The Zero Social Impact Strategic Model: Sustainable Development in Fragmented Spaces
The core of the GBI project design is to strike a balance between "economic growth" and "community peace." Therefore, we employ an isolation strategy to ensure our 24-hour operations do not disrupt the lives of the people of Ranong.
A.Geographical Advantage
- Offshore Island Hub: We chose to develop oil and gas storage areas (Zones A, B, C) on strategically reclaimed islands, free from indigenous communities and far from shallow coral reefs.
- Natural Buffer Zone: The sea water surrounding the island acts as a natural noise barrier and safety perimeter, helping to reduce concerns about noise and odor pollution reaching the mainland.

B.Independent Infrastructure
- Self-Sustaining Power & Water: The project has its own power plant (500MW) and freshwater production system to avoid competing for basic utilities with the people in Ranong.
- Dedicated Logistics Routes: The transportation of key goods and raw materials is done through underwater pipeline systems and specialized shipping routes, reducing the number of heavy trucks on public roads, decreasing accidents, and alleviating traffic congestion in cities.

C.Safe & Secure Operations
- Exclusive Industrial Zone: Zone D on the mainland (400 rai) is designed as a closed industrial estate with strict security controls and a green belt surrounding the project to filter dust and noise before reaching the community area.
- Community Co-existence: Although the project is fragmented, we focus on employing local people and developing their skills through the GBI Academy to transform their role from "affected parties" to "contributors to the success" of the national project.

"At GBI, we not only strive to coexist with the community, but we protect their way of life by designing industries that are impact-free, yet clear in the wealth they provide."
